I've decided we need to become a minimalist family. WE HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF. Over the last month I have taken 2 big boxes and 8 garbage bags of unused stuff to the Salvation Army. I have a long way to go, to get us to be real minimalist's(we will never really be there), but we're on our way. Why do all 4 of my kiddo's have dressers packed full of clothes, plus closets? Because, my friend, I hate to do laundry. Plain and simple. My kids have to have 8 pairs of jeans because I only do laundry every 7-8 days. So here's my plan, we're going "Little House on the Prairie". I believe in those days, they had 1-2 everyday dresses, that they wore over and over and 1 Church dress. Now, I'm not really going that extreme(the school would really start to wonder!). BUT, I want my 2 bigger girls to share a dresser. This is going to take some work converting their 2 full dressers into 1. I'm going to have to say good-bye to some cute outfits, but in the name of sanity, it has to be done. I do realize this will entail doing laundry more often, but the total amount of loads should stay the same(close). I will let you know how this goes...I don't think my 5yr old who changes her outfit 6 times a day is going to be happy ;)
Meanwhile, here's what 1/2 of my living room constantly looks like(I hate to fold and put away!):
